Jacksonville Ford dealer Bozard Ford Lincoln will be sponsoring the 2011 Mustang Club America National Show. More than 400 Ford Mustang models are expected to be on hand from all around the country. Models from 1965 to the current year will be represented at the show, which is free to the general public. The show will also include several Mustang parts and accessories vendors. The River City National Mustang Show will run from Friday, May 20th to Sunday, May 22nd.
The Ford Mustang was the original "pony car" coupe with a long hood and short rear deck and is the only pony car to remain in production for over four decades. The first Ford Mustang was introduced in 1964 at the New York World’s Fair and the 1965 Mustang was Ford Motor Company’s most successful vehicle launch since the launch of the Model A. The Ford Mustang has undergone numerous design transformations through the years and is currently in its fifth generation.
The sporty Ford Mustang has been an American icon for over 40 years. It has received numerous accolades over the years including Motor Trend Car of the Year and numerous appearances on the Car and Driver Ten Best List. The Ford Mustang also remains a popular car in American drag racing.
